Good to see a post from you. I remember a course I took that covered the first 600 years of Christianity. I pursued my Masters later in life, and I so wished I had been exposed to the church Fathers and the events of that time period - earlier. But I'm glad to have had some reference and it has been a blessing to my faith. Their influence lives on, whether we acknowledge it (or know it) or not. The Church Fathers are an immensely helpful and encouraging well to draw from, I often feel particularly close to Ignatius, given his beautiful faith in the face of hardship and pain.
