Just over three years ago now I sent out the newsletter from the Raven’s Writing Desk. Two pings later, and it arrived in my inbox and my wife’s. That was all back then, just me and my ever-encouraging missus. Since then this newsletter has grown to dozens, then scores, and now hundreds of pings every week!
Looking back, I can’t believe how many subjects I’ve covered. I’ve written about biblical, systematic, and historic theology. I’ve reviewed a tonne of amazing books. Recently, we just finished looking at the entirety of Malachi together, and that’s not to mention series on Klaas Schilder, on how to get the most out of the books we read, or Classics like Pride & Prejudice and Dracula!
A couple of months back, Mrs R turned to me and asked exactly how many articles I’d written in all that time. I couldn’t believe that I’d already reached 135 by that point, and she suggested doing something to mark the next milestone!
So you gave her to thank for this giveaway!
Giveaway
Here’s what the winner1 will receive a bundle worth over £40!:
A Rare Copy of “On Polycarp”: This is the book I co-wrote with Tim Suffield earlier this year, exploring Polycarp’s letter to the Philippians. It also includes the account of Polycarp’s martyrdom, as well as a lightly modernised version of his own letter. We only produced a very limited run of these, and so this is one of the last remaining copies I have!
A Large Mustard Moleskine Notebook: How exciting! Perfect for jotting down reflections, sermon notes, or your next big idea. Moleskines are some of the most sought after notebooks out there, and this one is just beautiful.
A Set of High-Quality Highlighters: Ideal for marking up books—find out more about that here—or your new Moleskine with important thoughts and ideas.
Exclusive Raven’s Writing Desk Stickers and Goodies: A little something extra just for you.
Don't miss your chance to win this fantastic bundle!

I’ll let
’s words speak fro themselves here, as this article is a must read this week:Every Christian has seen it, has felt it, has probably done it at some point. “It” is the outward disconnect between what we say and how we comport ourselves. We bless with our words, but not with our hearts. We smile with our mouths, but not our eyes.
If you’ve been reading or listening to the Malachi series, and found yourself wondering how to respond to prophecies that can feel scary, this prayer from
is a great balm for that. If you haven’t read his work before, this is a great place to start:Finally, if you haven’t had a chance to catch up with the last instalment in the Malachi series yet, you can find that right here:
